Questions about this document go to support@juris9.com.
1. The service
Juris9 is a software service that provides legal information about Indian law with the sources it is drawn from, reviews and drafts documents, organises your matters, and lets you send a consultation request to an advocate who has listed their practice.
2. What it is not
Juris9 does not provide legal advice and is not a law firm. Using it creates no advocate–client relationship and attracts no legal professional privilege. It does not represent you, file on your behalf, appear anywhere, or predict outcomes. See the disclaimer, which forms part of these terms.
3. Your account
- You must be 18 or older and capable of contracting under Indian law.
- You are responsible for the security of your account and for everything done through it.
- The information you give us — including, for advocates, enrolment details — must be accurate and kept up to date.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Juris9 to commit, plan or conceal an offence, or to harass, defraud or intimidate anyone.
- Upload content you have no right to upload, or that contains someone else’s personal data without a lawful basis.
- Present Juris9’s output as advice from an advocate, or resell it as a legal service.
- Attempt to extract the underlying models, scrape the service, or circumvent usage limits.
5. Advocate listings
Listings carry Bar-verifiable facts in a neutral order. They are not recommendations, rankings or endorsements, and no placement is for sale. Any engagement and any fee is agreed directly between you and the advocate; we are not a party to it, we hold no money, and we take no commission. Advocates pay a flat subscription for a listing and a consult inbox, never a per-referral fee.
Advocates using Juris9 remain bound by the Bar Council of India Rules and by their State Bar Council, and are responsible for their own compliance with them.
6. Subscriptions, credits and billing
- Plans and credit packs bought in the app are sold and charged by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play), at the price the store shows you before you confirm, including applicable taxes. Their payment and refund terms apply to those purchases.
- Plans are monthly and renew automatically until cancelled. Payment is charged to your store account when you confirm, and again each month unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Cancel or change a plan in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep the plan until the period you paid for ends. Deleting your Juris9 account does not cancel a store subscription.
- There are no free trials and no free plan. An account without a plan may try the service up to a limited amount of use set by us, after which you need a plan to continue.
- Usage limits apply per plan and reset each billing period. Credit packs are used only after your plan’s allowance for the period is spent, and do not expire.
- We may change prices with reasonable notice before your next renewal.
7. If you use the iOS app
These terms are between you and Adamant Technologies Private Limited, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for Juris9 or its content, has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it, and is not responsible for any claim relating to it. Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to the iOS app, and Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms.
8. Your content
You keep all rights in what you upload and in the documents you generate. You grant us only the licence needed to operate the service for you — to store, process and display your content back to you, and to share it with an advocate when you choose to. That licence ends when you delete the content or your account.
9. Content standards, reporting and blocking
These standards apply to everything you put into Juris9, including questions, uploads, advocate listings and consultation requests. You must not post or send content that:
- Is unlawful, or promotes or facilitates an offence.
- Is abusive, harassing, threatening, hateful or obscene.
- Is false or misleading, or impersonates any person, advocate or organisation.
- Solicits work, advertises or touts in a way the Bar Council of India Rules do not permit.
- Infringes anyone’s rights, or discloses someone else’s personal data without a lawful basis.
Users can report an answer, an advocate listing or a consultation request, and can block a listing or a request. Advocates can report and block consultation requests they receive. We review every report, and we do not tolerate objectionable content: we may remove content, and suspend or close the account responsible, without prior notice where the breach warrants it.
10. Availability
We aim to keep Juris9 available but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may modify, suspend or discontinue features, and will give reasonable notice of a material adverse change where we can.
11. Liability
Juris9 is provided on an “as is” basis to the extent permitted by law. We are not liable for any decision you take, or do not take, on the basis of information the service provides — which is why the service shows you its sources and tells you to confirm anything that matters with an advocate. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Indian law.
12. Termination
You may stop using Juris9 and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms, and will tell you why unless we are legally prevented from doing so.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at the seat of Adamant Technologies Private Limited’s registered office have exclusive jurisdiction.
